A couple of years ago my kind and generous Brother-In-Law purchased for me my own website, www.Matthewaylen.co.uk, I spent many happy, frustrating and angry hours attempting to put the site together using Dreamweaver. I was very surprised when I got it up and running pretty quickly and it looked good, then I got all above my station and tried to add things that I should have just left well alone (Flash) and it all went wrong and I broke it…
Due to the brokeness of it I began to lose interest, and then I forgot about it and it fell into decline. To be honest I had totally forgotten about it until Mark (brother-in-law) asked me if I wanted the www. To be renewed, I must admit I held off giving an answer as I was really unsure whether I did or not, but in the end I decided that as I am likely to have a little bit of time on my hands (see living with redundancy) I should give it a go. I have a copy of Creative Suite so I could use the time to get a nice polished site together. I think though that due to my failed attempts last time Mark found WordPress for me, in the hope that this time I wouldn’t be able to break it! He was right, as all the important bits were already in place all I was left to do was put things on it, and it works wonderfully!
